Taste West Sweden

Openness, curiosity and innovation is permeating the food culture in West Sweden. Here you find local producers and food craftspeople who work with pride and professional skills and create world-class products.

West Sweden is a must for cheese lovers. Sivan’s cheese shop is a small family business that has worked with cheese for five generations. Sivan’s daughter Sofia is the baker in the family company and you will taste her hand-baked crisp-bread. You will have fine heritage cheese from West Sweden by Almnäs Bruk. They have been producing cheese consistently since the 1830s and have the oldest registered cheese brand in Sweden, “Wrångebäck Sweden,” registered in 1889.
Resville Mathantverk is a small scale artisan food company that has been amply rewarded for the quality of jams in the Swedish Artisan Food Championships. Enjoy their tasty lingonberry jam with gin and juniper berry.

Refreshing lingonberry and blueberry cordial is produced by Bramleys owned by Joachim and Fiona, who is living their dream having an orchard near the fairy-tale castle Läckö by the lake Vänern, Sweden´s largest lake.
