In a 700sqm space in Ventura Centrale, designer Luca Nichetto and perfumer Ben Gorham have created a conceptual glass installation for Murano glass company Salviati. It’s an emotional installation that invites new creations and designers.
These two brilliant minds met in Stockholm, where they both live and work. Murano-born Luca Nichetto began his career in a project with Salviati when he was fresh out of industrial design university, and the creative director gave him his very first brief, which resulted in the best-selling Millebolle vase.
In 2006 Luca Nichetto founded a multidisciplinary design studio in Venice and five years later, opened a second studio in Stockholm. Luca Nichetto is also the designer behind Offeccts new Phoenix chair, which luminously represents the “LifeCircle” philosophy that is the soul of Offecct. This perpetual life cycle inspired the name for Phoenix – the bird of ancient mythology that keeps rising from its own ashes.
Ben Gorham founded the brand Byredo in 2006. A native Swede born to an Indian mother and a Canadian father, Ben grew up in Toronto, New York and Stockholm. As an outsider in the beauty industry, Ben has been recognised for his personal style and connection to fashion and art.
